Craft Resin

This is a thick consistency resin and requires a vacuum chamber and warm bath to use to prevent bubbles. It is easy to mix as it is a 1 to 1 ratio.

Once you get the hang of it, make sure you have a good seal coat the finish is beautiful. Pretty easy to use just takes some practice.

Spalted maple desk top

I used this epoxy on a spalted maple desk top I built for a client. The spalted maple was rather soft and he needed a durable finish. The online tutorial resources provided by Primaloc made using this product a breeze. They covered all aspects of what I needed to make this desk top exactly what my client wanted. The spalted maple proved to be quite a challenge as it sucked up the epoxy like a sponge. Several seal coats were needed prior to the flood coat ( which was pointed out in the instructions provided both online and those that came with my order ). My client wanted a satin finish so I lightly sanded the flood coat with 400 grit sandpaper, then sprayed several coats of satin lacquer on it. After pouring the flood coat I almost called my client to see if he wanted to leave the high gloss finish - it looked fabulous ( like a high end conference table)! However for his use the satin finish really looked best.
I would highly recommend this product as it is easy to use, and produces a great finish for applications needing the durability of epoxy.
